Dr. Haus conducts research into the applied management of game species including topics such as movement, behavior, nutrition, physiology, reproduction, population dynamics relative to habitat management strategies, and disease impacts. While he mainly focuses on the ecology and management of white-tailed deer, he also collaborates on projects involving carnivores and upland game birds. Much of his current work is driven by mentored students. Prospective student researchers are encouraged to contact Dr. Haus via email.
