Dr. Haus is a Certified Wildlife Biologist® who specializes in the ecology of large mammals, primarily white-tailed deer. His research and instruction focus on the applied management of big game populations. He also has an interest in emerging GPS telemetry technology and methods used to study animal movement and survival. Dr. Haus has been a faculty member in the Bemidji State University Biology Department since 2019 and serves as the principal investigator of the Deer Ecology Lab.
