Careers in venture capital involve
raising funds from investors and then seeking out small, profitable firms in which to
invest. The venture capitalists provide long term capital to firms and in many cases get
involved in the management of the firms. Like many other specialized areas, a career as a
venture capitalist usually begins as a financial management trainee, climbing the
corporate steps to financial or security analyst, department manager, or senior manager. |
