M3066 Transformational Geometry and Escher Tessellations

Your transformational geometry and tessellations assignment will consist of two parts.

  1. The first part is a description of the fundamental transformations used to construct Escher like tessellations. The transformations are translation, slide or glide, rotation, both vertex and mid-point, and slide or glide reflections. This should be posted to your www site.
  2. The second part is to construct several tessellations. At least two of the tessellations are to be Escher like tessellations. One of these can be a one transformation tessellation. The second must be a multiple transformation tessellation. You should attach or make available the tessellation seed and a full page tessellation. The posting of this part of the assignment is your choice. Your instructor must see this part of the assignment so that a grade can be assigned.
