Complete the M&M spreadsheet. Save it as MnM III.xlsx to your dropbox folder. In groups of 1,2,3, or 4 find an estimate for the large bag (wt= 19.20 oz or 544.3 g). The small bags (wt=1.69 oz or 47.9 g) are your data samples. You and your group are to find a procedure to estimate the number of MnMs in the large bag. You are also to estimate the number of each color. You will be making an oral presentation of your work. Also you will have to turn in a Word document describing your procedure and your conclusion. Your document should include your spreadsheet and two graphs that help you explain your methodology. You may add new computations to the basic spreadsheet if it helps you in your procedure or in your graph construction. | |
| Class Data Qualitative Charts | Start with your basic class data spreadsheet. Add sheets for Sex, Academic Status, M&M color and Siblings, Construct appropriate Frequence tables for each sheet. For each sheet construct a bar or column chart and a pie chart. | |
| Class Data Histograms | Using your Class Data spreadsheet, copy the data to Core Tools, construct histograms for each Quantitative variable. Copy the histogram to a word document. In the word document identify the histogram and identify the shape of the histogram. Save the file as Histograms III in your dropbox folder or email a copy to your instructor. | |
| Class Data Correlations | Using your Class Data spreadsheet, construct 3 scatter plots. Classify the relationship between the two variables as strong negative, weak negative, no, weak positive, or strong positive correlation. | |
